Hunter Arms 'Keystone' shotgun? Archived Message

    Hello All,
Off of our usual topic, but I just left a used gun shop and saw an old sxs advertised as a Hunter Arms Keystone shotgun. Advertisement card hanging from stock indicated early 1900 gun with Damascus barrels, boxlock design looked just like some of the Fulton Boxlocks we see. The splinter forearm was very tight, and since the store owner was away the young guy running the store in his absence was reluctant to let me pull it off with the force necessary. I was unable to inspect the flats for marking. The top of one barrel was marked SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL(makes me think that they're not Damascus). The barrels were rust blued and there was absolutely no evidence anywhere on the barrels that they were Damascus (swirls or patterns). On the side of the reciever was the word KEYSTONE. Original case coloring, well preserved furniture finish. Anyone heard of this brand before in terms of a Hunter Arms product?
