Purchase of Ideal L.C.Smith Archived Message

Posted by Tom Rentz on September 15, 2007, 4:05 am

    In searching for Ideal Model L.C.Smith, I found one, S/N : 194058, in 12Ga.
The pictures look great, but i noticed it had a straight English stock and a Fluer de lour carved in the stock, aft of the side plate ??

Can this be original , or is this a restocked gun? Would it be worth buying if it is not a original pistol grip? in reading the Model descriptions it makes no mention of a straight stock, however it is offered in the field version.

Can someone with more L.C. Smith knowledge help me out !!

    I thank you in advance.
