If both frames are featherweight, there is a possibility they will interchange; but there is also a good probability they won't, as even the lockplates were handfitted to the milled cuts in the frame. The three times I've tried to switch lock plates from both featherweight and regular frames, none would fit; so good luck. Finally, if your gun has an FW frame and the Ideal is a regular frame; the plates will absolutely not interchange, a fact of which I am sure you are already aware.
