1914 Ideal S/N Archived Message Posted by RickW on September 9, 2007, 9:52 am I am a new member but have enjoyed the Forum for some time. Now I have a question. I have an Ideal grade S/N 217112 and have received a Cody letter. The letter identifies this gun as I have it except it lists it as a Field grade. The gun is clearly Ideal as identified on the barrell and the engraving is clearly Ideal. All the serial numbers match, including on the trigger guard. Has anyone had a similar experience. Jessica has been helpful and double checked the records. She also identified the inspector as P. Date finished is 2/19/1914. Does anyone know who Inspector P was?
