    Rebel...I had a similar experience with the safety lever being "sloppy" and occasionally missing the trigger mechanism. I found , through measuring and comparing with the Brophy Plans and Specifications book, that the safety lever hole had "wallowed" out from .098" to .108", and was evidentaly the culprit. I made a shim from .002" brass shim stock, and placed it behind the safety lever. That solved my problem for now. However, I think the CORRECT solution would be to plug and redrill the hole, or replace the safety lever. Good luck!
