Wow!!! Never seen a black diamond in that kind of shape before. Good stuff, good story, and a good gun. The gun I was talking about is a Stevens 311 that my Dad hunted with when there were still enough wild quail in Southern Illinois to warrant keeping a dog. Same deal, you couldn't stack in this room the game that old gun has shot. Grandpa still has his little 20 gauge of the same make, though it's marked JC Higgins. I'll hopefully see him in action with it on the first day of dove season. He was 90 on our birthday, we were both born June 10th. His eyes are failing a bit but he can still kill them if the sun is shining. I think I'll take my Remington Automatic Shotgun that my friend Jeff just fixed up for me. It's the forefather of the Model 11, made the first year they licensed the Browning patent. Hard to imagine an automatic being over 100 years old but this one is. I haven't shot an autoloader at game in a long time but I did a couple rounds of skeet with it the other day and was hitting pretty well. Grandpa will give me a hard time because I'm not shooting a double barrel of course. Destry
