Sounds to me like it is the sear/hammer engagement angle. Could also be a myraid of other things given it is a Hunter One Trigger(I assume, as it was the most common). The lock plate screws can also enter into the equation as can the trigger plate top and bottom screws. "Sweet Elsies" need lots of TLC at best and Hunter One Triggers need lots, and lots of patience and perseverance!(Not to mention luck) In 10 words or less there may be no easy fix.
