    Hello Andy,
We'll need a little more information to give you a hand. If you open the action you should see a serial # stamped on the watertable. Secondly, if the gun is in original condition there should be a matching # on the fore-end iron located on the barrel side of the fore-end. Once you've found the #'s, go to the home page of this website and click on SHOTGUNS then YEARS OF MANUFACTURE. You will have several options for determining when your shotgun was manufactured. You will also get more feedback from members of this organization if you post whether or not your gun has exposed hammers, type of barrel steel i.e. fluid or Damascus, etc.etc.etc. Whatever you do, put off the urge to go out and lay waste to any clays or critters until after you determine the barrel type and condition. The best way to accomplish this is to have her examined by a qualified double gunsmith. If you post your location, chances are someone from this forum will chime in with a tried and true Smith close to you.Once you've gotten that far, use the search engine on this site for reccommendations on low pressure loads, that are safer on your barrels and your stock.
    Good luck
