L..C. Smith 10 Ga Hammer Gun Archived Message Posted by Matt Alexander on May 10, 2007, 6:46 am I recently acquired a Smith 10 Gauge Hammer Gun with Damascus Barrels. The Barrels are fairly pitted and I'm contemplating having the barrels sleeved for fear that the pitting may make them unsafe to fire. The barrel metal is very think and I'm wondering if I could perhaps have the barrels lapped to clean them up.
