The stocks, if not replacments, were orginally checkered. With no checkering now, the stocks have either been sanded; or the gun has seen an enormous amount of use, neither of which will add the to the gun's collector value. Grade OO 12-bore Smiths are very common, I suggest you visit some of the on-line auction sites and find examples in similar condition to get some idea as to the asking (not selling) price for such a gun.
