Folks I have just finished rusting my first Barrel ans I aint ashamed to say I have a new respect of anybody that can do this job! no wonder its becomming a lost art now mind you I didnt try the barrels on one of my smiths but a old single barrel I had sitting around the shop. after 10 coats of solution , boiling and carding in between it has been a task but worth the effort I am happy with the results and next task is gonna be a clunker smith to see how hard it is on a double!
