    Mike that kind of aftermarket work would definately detract from the value of a high grade Smith like this Crown. If the gun were mine (as the blue already appears a little thin), I would have the barrels repaired (remove the name) and properly slow rust blue. I don't know where this name is located on the barrel surface; but it can be carded off if the metal in this area has sufficient thickness, or it can be properly welded over and then smoothed. At any rate, if you are buying the gun negotiate a reduction that will at least cover the expense of the repair and re-blue. Good luck as the Crown Grade is a beautiful gun; and is the kind of gun that will keep a guy looking "good" even on those days when hits are rare.
