Diane, we could give you an estimate if you will tell use more about the gun, such as gauge(10/12/16/or 20), barrel length, serial number(found on the trigger guard), and most important condition. L.C. Smith's are very collectable, particularly the higher grades. Pictures would be a big help, however nothing subtitutes for a hands-on evaluation by a qualified person.
