I forgot to add that carbonia blue is a fuming process done with charcoal, sperm oil and other oils at 600 deg. for a whole bunch of hours. This is followed up with a warm water quench. The benefit of carbonia blue is the fact that there isn't any rusting developed as with slow rust or caustic bluing, the finish is VERY duriable and the engraving shows better. Ken
