I was wondering if someone may be able to shed some light on a gun that I recently purchased in Oct. and seem to be obsessed with finding everything I can about it. Since Oct I have sent the SN to Cody, bought Col Brophys' book and ordered the new book all of you are talking about and just sent in my membership. Without pictures I know this will be harder to understand but, any ideas will be welcome.Cody says my 20 is a fw field with 28" barrels finished 4/28/25 and shipped 10/1/25. The SN#s match on the forend/reciever and barrel. This 20gauge has 26"barrels, double ivory beads, beavertail forend and the 3rd variation on page 151 of Brophys book.It has a hunter single selective trigger. English style stock with what looks like black walnut wood with a natural/oil finish. The rt sideplate is engraved with two ducks, one in flight and one on water with reeds and lillies in the forground. The left is engraved with two woodcock, one in flight the other on ground with shrubbery surrounding. The engraving looks alot like pages 170/182/183.The watertable is engraved like the top picture on page 171.The trigger guard, top and bottom looks like pg 66/67.The engraving also looks like the #3and pigeon grades on this site. Also there is a leaf pattern on the rounded part of the reciever where the barrels meet that looks just like the A3 pictured on this site but not quite as elaborate. This gun has not seen much use. Bluing looks wonderful and there is good case color. Sorry about the long post. What are your thoughts?
