My nephew and I were talking about L C Smith shotguns. He has a lathe and milling machine among other tools and teaches the use of these to students. He got rather excited about turning some post 1913 firing pins for me. I sent a 12 and a 20 gauge pin to him. He generated these drawings from those pins. Both of these were out of guns I currently use so I realize these dimensions may be peculiar to my guns. However they can be a good jumping off point for anyone interested in turning out some firing pins for their own guns. Either by themselves or by a machinist. Please feel free to use or share.
