Thanks for the reply, Stephen. I enjoyed your article and look forward to reading more of your research on Pigeon Guns. FWIW, I have a Pigeon Gun (SN 5479), which also has the gold rib inlay. The gun is interesting in that the serial number was used twice before 1913, once on a No. 5E and once on a No. OOE. I wrote an article for the Summer, 2021, edition of the Journal about the gun. For reasons noted in the article, I think the gun was manufactured in April, 1901. Stanley
