1902 Hammer Forend Assembly

Hello all. I am hoping someone might be able to help me on this one. I have an older LC Smith that I received from my wifes Grandfather after his passing. After learning about the history of the LC Smith line I have decided to revive this shotgun. It was in quite rough shape but so far all serial parts are there, matching and functioning (128006). I have been working on the forend recently as the wood has completely cracked and broken. I will be carving a new piece however my current problem is finding a drawing, schematic or representation of the 1902 hammer model forend and all of its parts. The forend spring was broken so I have replaced that but I believe there should be so sort of spring that assists the ejector. There was what appeared to be a flat style "spring" that was screwed into the underside of the forend frame but I am not sure if this piece is original or not. If someone could provide any more information regarding the forend assembly for this gun that would be great. Thank you!
