A)I think the barrels are original to the gun.
B)I agree that the forend and iron were most likely replaced and the extractors substituted at some point in the guns life.
C)As Jim pointed out..no record of the WILDFOWL designation in the ledgers for 1926.
D)Agreed the WILDFOWL marking does appear to be added later after the initial factory scroll work. The WILDFOWL marking is a bit clumsys and uneven. I looked at several WILDFOWLS and the F in each of those known guns both had the upper and lower legs of the F being the same length not one longer and one shorter.
I think that this would not have drawn as much attention for me initially if it had been marked LONGRANGE instead of WILDFOWL.
