Hello Drew and all others afflicted with this wonderful addiction of all things L C Smith.Wonderful post and pic's. I am not usually one of horn blowing or one upmanship. But when I saw this it caused me to check my collection. I may have the oldest A-1, the serial number thru me as mine is 793. Dr.Jim did a letter for me on mine and the order date is Sept. 29 1892 and it was delivered Dec 23 1892.(page 6 of ledger 2).It has 30 inch full chokes and a 27 inch second set of factory barrels with forearm mod and imp cylinder.It has checkered or cross hatched triggers. It has full pistol grip with the "s" shape grip end. I will try to put some pics together if you like. Mine is not as high condition as your feature gun.
