There are no springs to return them.The firing pins may have been replaced by ones that do not fit right.I have seen pins that were broke that did this but would still fire OK.I had one like this.A fellow up at one of the clubs that I belong to had one just like you you described.I told him the pin was broke and he looked at me like I had two heads.When I took it apart in front of him and the two pieces fell out he was shocked.He had shot it for years and never had a miss a shot.Good luck with your project.Charlie.
