Re: Long Range standard length of pull ?
I don't believe that there was any difference in dimensions between a Long Range stock and a standard stock. Granted that this is about 10 years later, but I have a 1938 price sheet that says: "Standard dimensions of the Field Grade are 14" - 2 5/8" - 3", full pistol grip. Any change from these dimensions requires special work, therefore we will have to make an extra charge for making stocks of special dimensions --- including straight or half grip."
Field Grade only 3.50
Checkered Butt (except on Skeet Grade) 3.50
Cutting Off Stock (any grade) 2.00
Chambering for 3" shells 3.00
Oil Finishing (Field, Skeet, Ideal) 4.00
Checkering trigger (any grade) 2.00
Recoil pad (any grade) 5.00
Leather cover fitted to pad (any grade) 1.00
Ivory Sights (per pair) 1.00
In 1938 a standard Field Grade retailed for $43.20 and a Field Special (with pad and sights) retailed for $46.35.
