I was driven around the NEW sporting clay course today at PATHFINDERS FISH and GAME CLUB on a all terrain vehicle today. The lay out is new and in the works but I am told that it is a well set up venue.?? As I don't shoot much, time and use will tell. It starts at the far end of the open field then enters the woods. There is a newly built roadway that is still a little rough but very walkable. First 5 stations are on flat ground. After that you proceed up a low grade to a small hill. The rest of the stations (12 total) are set up in field to woods settings with stations located along the top of the (small) hill.Same incline heading back to the start. Course loop is 1.1 miles. Some may prefer to rent cart. ?? The (small hill) is not like hills at Houseman's in PA. It is set up with a card system. All new shooting stands, gun racks, and throwing machines. Station areas are being worked on. High shots, low shots, coming and going, cross shots. Fast and slow birds. Saw the rabbit --- he runs real FAST!!!!! Did I say trees?? Grand opening first of July and LCSCA sponsors the first station. Should be a interesting. I am hoping to see more shooters at Homecoming with this added venue. More info to follow soon. Civil war enactment going on the same weekend at the rife range. It will be a busy weekend maybe we can get some of them interested in L C Smith's??? May want to decide on rooms soon also. I will post more or e-mail weldinj@gmail.com ////phone Les at 315-593-6848.
