Re: Load Guidance
When I talk about sticking of the Cabela shells,I mean the shells were so tight that I had to beat them out with a heavy wooden rod.The brass of the rim had flowed around the extractors and every shell did this in several Smith guns.I had no problems with my late model pump gun with these same shells. Many of the Smiths had bores that were undersized by todays standards. This may have helped cause this issue.Remingtons and Winchesters shells have had the primers blow thru in Smith guns. This can sometimes be considered as higher pressures. The Federals and RST shells never give this problem for me.If you look around the Federals can be had for about $90. a case and RST,s for about $120.Keep in mind that RST has always been a big supporter of our organization for years.Their shells are user friendly and lower pressures.Charlie.
