Spring Shoot at Carlisle Well Attended
The attendance at the LCSCA Spring Shoot at Carlisle Fish and Game was strong. The weather was very very nice for March 19th. It was sunny and 50 to 55 degrees F. We could not have had a nicer day in March for shooting clay targets. The catered lunch was wonderful again this year. The 3 different types of sausage was the most popular entree this year. The pulled pork and bar-b-q chicken was a close second place to the sausage. There were 83 rounds of sporting clays shot on Monday at Carlisle Fish and Game by the LCSCA. There were over 20 squads of wobble trap shot by the LCSCA shooters on Sunday afternoon and Monday at CF&G. There were about 10 squads of LCSCA skeet shooters on Sunday afternoon and Monday. It was a wonderful LCSCA event. If you live in Memphis or St. Louis or Atlanta or Dallas or wherever you can copy the blue print for this LCSCA Spring Shoot at Carlisle to create an LCSCA shoot in your home town. The LCSCA will provide the seed money to get your local LCSCA shoot started. You do not need to reinvent the wheel to run one of these shoots. Just follow the successful plan from Carlisle. Our host, the CF&G club, made a nice profit from this LCSCA event too. Our host charged a premium for our shooters to enable the club to earn a little extra for their club. This extra money usually finds its way into new traps or new shooting stands or other improvements at CF&G. During the last year CF&G installed new electric wiring and lights in the barn where we hold our lunch and small gun show...... posted by Jent on March 20th
