Reminds me of a few years ago when I was shooting trap with a friend whose BT99 literally came apart on the trap line. I looked over at him and the forend was on the ground and he was dropping the barrel which was too hot to handle. After it cooled he picked up the pieces; I volunteered an Ithaca SBT so he could keep shooting but he quit for the day. A few weeks later he showed up with a $14K Kolar; a beautiful gun but he couldn't hit anything even after being measured for it. I offered to sell him an Ithaca 4E but he said he would master the gun he had.I haven't seen him shooting trap since.
