Sporting Clays stock for a regular frame Smith?

I'm trying to find somebody that will make a stock for a regular frame Smith, I have the one in the photo and it had the monte carlo piece added before I bought it, height is fine but the comb is fairly thin. I'd prefer one more like the bottom gun in the photo. I think it's a Wenig New American, don't know for sure as I bought it at a gun club swap meet. I have talked to a couple of the local SxS shooters and it seems to vary between splicing wood into existing stocks and having a multi thousand dollar custom stock done. I can't get into the second option right now, especially for a gun that is only worth a couple of hundred dollars to start with. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Mike
