3" chamber question?

Hi, I just aquired an Ideal grade with 32" barrels, the barrel flats are marked "3 inch chambers" with what looks to be a factory marking. However, the gun is not marked Long Range or Wild Fowl, is this common? Serial number RE65753. Thanks,for any info.
