You've found a beauty!! Unfortunately, the serial number falls in the "black hole" of pre-13 Smith production, but was built roughly between 1885-1890. The engraving pattern is the standard "birds in a circle".
With the figure in the wood, all I would do is clean it carefully and replace the buttplate with a period-correct one--- and enjoy it !
