Hello. I have a nice old "OE" grade 16 gauge, but the "E" part doesn't work because the ejector spring is missing. I tried fabricating one out of a paint scraper blade, which worked at first, but lost its strength and stopped adequately firing the ejectors after a few months of storage. The spring I need is identified as a "J spring" in the diagram in the link pasted below. An original is unlikely and may be too weak after 100 years. Does anyone know of a shop that is fabricating these replacement flat springs? It doesn't seem like it should be too difficult for a talented machinist to make. Thanks. Justin
