If there is anyone out there looking for a new stock for you L.C. Smith I would like to strongly suggest you give Donnie Gemmes at Show-Me Gunstocks a try. I had him make me a set for an Ideal grade that was missing the original forend and had a very short broken stock. It arrived yesterday and I have to say for the money it can't be beat, the wood is suburb. I went with the semi inlet route so there is a lot of work to be done, but the head of the stock is almost perfect to almost drop in the action, side plates etc. He was a great guy and a pleasure to work with. I am hopefully going to photo the process and I post some pictures of the project.
