Also if the top tang to trigger plate housing is one turn too tight, that will happen. You are pulling the trigger housing closer to the sears. This can also be a problem when the stock is taken off and replaced, tightening this screw one turn too much and you will not get the side plates on because the sear is now hitting the trigger plate
