Saved an L.C. Smith from an estate sell and think this is a very fine shotgun, but admittedly don't know much about it. I found the date of manufacture to be July of 1886. I am new to these firearms, so I guess I am just here to talk about them. I am interested in learning it's value, but I know ball parks can be difficult without seeing them in person. Any advice/info would be great. Also, is it okay to shoot it if I ever got my hands on the ammunition?
