I don't know if anyone has looked at the barrel extension or not. The Specialty grade guns usually had a silver insert between the rib & the rib extension & the higher grades had a gold insert. This may help determine the grade of these barrels. Just my guess, I could be wrong. Again all things are possible with a Smith. I agree with Jimmy, the engraving looks a bit "primitive" to me.
