These watches are all "dollar watches" meaning that they cost about $1.00 when they wre new between about 1890 and 1930. All the examples I have seen (including mine) have been sold in England. I have talked to many experts including Rich Beyer and almost all believe these watches were not purchased or distributed by Hunter Arms. This begs the question, where do they come from? Based on the fact that they appear not to have been made or modified recently, the best theory I have heard is that they were created from inexpensive watches as awards for various events. My dial does not appear to be original to the watch but appears to have been printed and glued on after the watch was made.
