old 1906 16 gauge, new owner

I found this site today and have been exploring the great FAQ section. She (serial #62517 d)has been sitting still in a closet neglected for at least 20 years and i would like to clean the barrel and lube any necessary parts without taking anything apart.
Can i clean it like any modern firearm using powder solvents?
Could someone recommend a gunsmith to inspect the mechanical condition in California, central valley/S.F.-Bayarea. Thank for any info at all about the gun, Larry
