The duck hunting has been good so far, I've hunted five days and killed a limit on four of them. The fifth day was slow, I managed to miss a couple but that was it.
Thankfully there have been plenty of ducks to fire at as my shooting has been appalling. I can't remember missing as many as I've missed so far in 2009.
The Michigan opener is this coming Saturday, hopefully either my shooting improves or there are plenty of birds. I'll take either really, though I've fired enough shells to pay for a new car just to kill what I've killed so far. These double gun friendly non-toxics are high dollar.
I've got 40 of the new RST 10 gauge shells in the 1 3/8 ounce loading. I've been saving them for a real goose hunt so as to be able to give a detailed report. I've only been out for geese once and that day wasn't one for testing new ammo as we only killed a few.

P.S. I got lucky and scored 27 boxes of the Federal Tungsten Polymer shells in 2 3/4 loaded with 1 1/4 ounce of #4 and #6 for an amazingly low price. I've got quite a few Kents stockpiled in the same charge but adding to the horde at that price was something even a poor boy like me couldn't resist.
