Well today marked the beginning of the gunning season for me. The Brits have the Glorious 12th, but we have the Much Anticipated 1st. Did not see a lot of Doves this morning, did did manage to knock down 3 with 5 shots through my L.C. FW Field 20 ga. The best part of the hunt was having my little English Cocker Poly find all three birds which would probably have been lost. As I am writing this I am partaking in an adult beverage so here is a toast to all at the beginning of this Dove season "May the sky be full of birds and you never need the back trigger".
