My grandfather left me an LC Smith 12 ga. after he died in Nov. 2006. I brought it to a local gun smith here in Baton Rouge, LA. Today, the gun is not finished and I have had nothing but excuses. It was there to be blued and case hardened. Now, I have been given the excuse that a new stock is needed and that is the hold up. I really do think a new stock is needed, but should it really take 2.5 years to fix? I think not. Today, I will call and give the gunsmith an ultimatum that I need the bluing and hardening work done and I will pick up the gun in two weeks.
My question to you folks is, at that point, I will need a new stock because I am sure he cannot get one. Do any of you folks know where I can get a stock from? I can finish/refinish it myself, but I need someone to machine it, I suppose.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks..
