No disrespect but I have to disagree with you. Once the gun is broken and it re-cocks itself the firing pins are then "floating". Second if the firing pins were still sticking out, the extractor stem is relaxed upon starting to close the breech and the shells along with the extractor/ejector is also following into it's fit in the barrels.
Have your gun broken, muzzles down, the firing pins are sticking out now, start to close the gun and watch how the action works.
