Being able to push your shells all the way into the chambers of your L C Smith shotgun was a GREAT BENEFIT that was lost when they changed to the newer system. By pushing your shells ALL THE WAY into the chambers you reduced the possibility of damaging the tips of your firing pins when you closed the gun. Many many many L C Smith shooters have broken off the tips of their firing pins by closing their L C Smith to aggressively. When you load your L C Smith with the system that you described you should push the shells all the way down and still be careful not to break off your firing pins when you close the gun. Jent
