Cody Letter.....AJ Alford Sporting Goods Company

I recieved my Cody letter today on the Eagle 16 ga that I bought a while back. It was sold to the AJ Alford Sporting Goods Company back in 1922. I did a google search and came up empty on this company. I would like to know the city and state this gun was purchased in.

Has anybody ever heard of this sporting goods company and where it may have been located?
