Speaking of chamber length. My Ideal Grade 16 was made in 1943 #2029XX. Would it have 2 3/4 chambers? I tried measuring with a telescope gauge and micrometers and couldn't get what I consider an accurate measurement. Is the chamber length actually more than 2 3/4 inches to take into account the opening of the shot shell??? Or what method is used to get the right chamber length?
