As most of you know, the APC supports the GPA raw federation as well as the WUAP equipped federation. December 1, 2011 begins the 2nd annual GPA RAW World Championships at the Clarion Hotel in Atlanta. The first Contest we had 2 foreign countries. We now have 5 South American Countries, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Uraguay, and Equador. Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina will be represented at the GPA Worlds this year. In Europe we have Romania, Finland Maldova, Germany, Russia, Azerbajan, and Serbia. Romania, Finland, Germany, Azerbajan, Russia, and Maldova will be represented this year.
As members, or prospective members of the APC, we invite all of you to represent the US in the 2nd annual GPA Worlds. In 2012 the GPA Worlds will be in Argentina

The AGM will be Friday, December 2. Any items that lifters would like to discuss at the meeting can be posted at http://globalpowerliftingalliance.com/items_for_discussion_and_vote_ag.htm. If you have something to discuss regarding the GPA please post it here or send an email and it will be posted on the discussion page for all to see.

In Finland we have had many response concerning start command in benchpress, some feel it would be more clear if 60 second time allowance stopped at the start command when the lift starts, rather than from the press command. Some also think it would make referees job easier. Maybe this is only a thing we have had locally here in Finland, we understand the rules should not be changed once they are set but maybe this could be one thing to be discussed at the AGM? To add the classic start command to benchpress that is.
