As of right now, the official rule is 4th attempts can only be done for a world record. LB and I have spoken about this and both feel that it really does not hurt things if a meet promoter allows a lifter to attempt an American Record on a 4th attempt. I will be allowing 4th attempts for American Records at the Central USA Open.
