Let me be the first to congratulate all the lifters who competed in the 2008 nationals! It was a long exhausting day of lifting, but the mood and atmosphere was always electric. A big thanks to all the volunteers, platform crew , announcers, front door ticket sales and everyone else involved! Also another big thanks to the referees for the event who were fair and consistent with all the flights! Congratulations to all the special olympians, who put on probaly the best lifting of the event, with their consistent effort and gleaming smiles. They definitely put a smile on everyones faces! And last but not least to Brian and his crew for putting on a great event , even with an overwhelming number of lifters. It was a long day, but no one got hurt, and everyone will definitely remember the "Iron Man" Powerlifting event from the 2008 GPC canadian nationals!
