Posted by Dave Coleman A few years ago...about 6 years or so....Sherman was involved in a terrible car accident that put him in the emergency room with his head split open from the top of his forhead to the top of his neck at the back of his head...he was in critical condition for some time before finally pulling through. He eventually recovered and was just a little uglier than normal due to the huge, new scar but he was still the same old, happy Sherm. A few years later he got together with Laura and they fell in love and soon married giving those boys the first great male role model of their young lifes. He gave them a home and a dad....something neither of them had ever really had before. Sherman was very accomplished for a young man...he owns two homes (one as a rental, the other he and his family share), another property in the nearby hills that he was proudly working on landscaping for a new home...they were so excited about that and talked about it nearly everytime we all got together. He just got a big promotion at his job a few months ago and a big bump in pay along with it and I was so proud of him for working his way to the top so quickly...I always told him I knew he would without a doubt. Laura and the boys will at least be left with great memories of a great husband and dad. They will have a home because of his hard work and love. Maybe Sherman survived that wreck for a reason. Either way, it's too soon. God bless you Sherman. God bless you.
