The 10th annual APC National Championships were just concluded. This was the best APC National Championships to date. A big thanks go out to all the spotter/Loaders, judges, table crew, spectators, and most of all to the lifters who make the APC the outstanding federation that it is.
The AGM was well attended and a few landmark moves were made. The APC has adopted open back bench shirts to be allowed in all APC competitions for equipped lifters. A committee is studying guidelines for the open back shirts.
A unanimous vote was taken in favor of the APC joing the new International Powerlifting Organization (IPO) for equipped powerlifting. The first sanctioned meet under the new federation will be October 20, 2012 with the first World Championships in 2013. The APC will end the association with the WUAP this year. The APC now will support the GPA for Raw lifting and the IPO for equipped lifters in 2013.
