Writer's note: This piece and the broadcast follow-up were tailored for our local media in the northeast Georgia area and were in no way intended as slights on other lifters from other parts of the state of Georgia or other parts of the country. I usually just gather info about our NEGa. athletes for my stories, but certainly welcome other input.
By the way, thanks to Stephen and all the folks for putting on a fine National Meet in Peoria. I appreciate all of their hard work. I enjoyed the great old Mark Twain hotel with a lot of character and ambience. The venue was ideally set-up and the meet went smoothly. Again, my heartfelt thanks for the tremendous task of putting this thing together for all of us.
