Happy New Year to all the APC Family.
This year looks to be a great year in the APC.
Our renewed relationship with the WUAP is strong and got off to a great start with the 2008 Worlds in Germany. The contest turned out to be a great starting off point for all of us. So much so that the United States is one of the candidates to host the 2011 World Championships. We are working hard to bring this contest to the USA, but cant do it without your help and support. The best way you can help us is to compete in the number of APC santioned contest held throughout the country.
Currently there are several national qualifing contests on the schedule in Georgia and Illinois. All lifters are encouraged to compete in one of these contests if you wish to compete in the National Championships held in Peoria Illinois this June.
As you can see the Web site has changed a little bit. We have added our friends from the north and south to our American Powerlifting Committee family and look forward to future contests with them. The European lifters have a wonderful time lifting against each other in friendly competions all over the continent. Obviously they have more countries in a smaller area then we do, but we can work towards that type of relationship here too. This is one of our goals as an International organization.
With the new site in place, the APC would like to make sure we are reaching everyone. One of our ideas is during the upcoming month(s) we are looking to start a newsletter for all APC members. The APC would like to update our mailing lists as well, and ask that all current, future, and just interested lifters drop us an email with all the information about yourself that you would like to the APC. Please be descriptive because we would like to make personal profiles part of our newsletter. Its a great way to get to know each other and help our family grow.
If you have any suggestions you think would help us grow, please feel free to give us your input. Email, post on the forum, or even send it carrier pigeon it all works.
Thank you
